Faithworks affiliates are projects, churches and organisations that publicly identify with the aims of the Faithworks Movement. Affiliates commit to the principles of the Faithworks Charter (click the link below) demonstrating their commitment to professionalism, inclusion and valuing individuals as they serve their local communities.
The National Appropriate Adult Network (NAAN) is the national membership (umbrella) body for organisations running appropriate adult services.
NAAN's Aims:
• To promote and protect the rights and interests of young people and vulnerable adults in police custody
• To support the development and maintenance of effective Appropriate Adult services throughout England and Wales.
The Mentoring and Befriending Foundation aims to ensure that mentoring and befriending are at the centre of current and future national volunteering strategies.
Through the promotion of standards and a range of support structures and services, the Foundation aims to provide a quality experience for the volunteer and a successful outcome for mentees and befriendees.
COACH's aim is the transformation of tough urban communities through COACH – Creating Opportunities and Casting Hope. The COACH programme recruits coaches through local networks, trains them and matches them with young people from disadvantaged families to be coached. It provides monthly training and support to coaches. As role models, coaches build a sustained relationship with the young people, offering practical help and coaching towards life goals. This involves a commitment of 2 hours per week for 12 months. Coaches also work with other groups such as single parents and ex-offenders.
The NCAP network (the National Christian Alliance on Prostitution) is a collaborative association faciliatated by Beyond the Streets (www.beyondthestreets.org.uk). The NCAP network exists to unite, equip and empower organisations seeking to offer freedom and change to those involved in prostitution through sharing resources, experience and working in partnership.
